The wraparound porch is adequate for small finches and sparrows, the larger fold down perches on opposite sides are attracting bigger birds like cardinals. You do have to remove the roof to fill it, and the handle could have been a little sturdier as the feeder does get heavy when it’s filled, and the handle wanted to pull out of holes at first, but we sort of bent/pushed it out wider through the holes and it’s holding it. We will probably reinforce the handle just to make sure it’s more secure, but that’s a minor issue.

I noticed a review or two that mentioned the light won’t turn on and it may be they didn’t notice when they took the top off that there’s a button to push on the bottom of the little solar panel. And it needs a good amount of sun for a day or two to get enough power for it to turn on. The first night I got weak light then better the next and so on.

I love this as a lantern at night but filling it with birdseed is a bit tricky.The solar light works great! It¡¯s really bright and stays on for a few hours after dark.It¡¯s a great addition to my yard decor but taking this apart to fill it with bird seed really takes some effort.I have to remove the metal hook on top, fill it, the try to get the hook attached by pressing down on the top.BUT¡I really love the way this looks in the yard!

This solar powered light up birdhouse is so sweet! But, it didn¡¯t have any directions for set up! I continually attempted to peel off the solar power protective sticker, which come to find out, it didn¡¯t have a sticker on it! I left it outside for a full day to soak up the sun, but it didn¡¯t come on when it was dark. So I attempted to peel off the sticker again thinking that the sun wasn¡¯t able to charge through the sticker. After the second day, I realized that was not the case when I popped the handle off and looked underneath the roof of the house to find a button that turns it on and off! I felt rather foolish for not having figured it out sooner. Ughhhhh!!So, come to find out, there¡¯s no sticker on the solar panel, and this little birdhouse is so adorable when it lights up! The price is reasonable and actually a bit less than what I would pay in the big box stores. It is all metal, so will last for years to come. The birds like the accessibility of having numerous places to perch while eating their seeds.I would have given it 5 stars had it come with instructions. Now I want to buy another one!

Love it! Great quality and sturdy too! Looks great outside with my other bird feeders! Two things I would change with this bird feeder. Instead of having to squeeze the metal hanger to lift up the roof then fill with seed they should make a hinge on the roof so all you need to do is life the roof and fill it. That’s how my other feeder works and is super easy to fill. The other thing is to maybe permanently glue the windows on because if they let go, seed gets stuck to the windows. Even with those 2 things, I really love this feeder! Love the solar light at night and looks so pretty hanging. My birds seem to be happy with it lol! Great Bird feeder!!!

SUPER CUTE bird feeder, but the closing and hanging mechanism was not well designed. The top hook rod functions as a tension closure between two top metal hole-punched tabs. Because the hook is an open design, when hung, it can slide, and this is exactly what happens when a curious squirrel takes a bird feeder ride. Bird and squirrel weight causes the feeder to tilt, and the closure mechanism does not support the weight of a filled feeder plus passengers. Within 30 minutes of installation, we had a downed feeder and all-you-can-eat ground buffet. The inner clear plastic window coverings dislodged, and seem only to have been attached with a mild adhesive. Looking now to fix the feeder on a pole top-mount stand as an alternative to hanging. We love the look. The functionality is a work in progress.

This birdhouse feeder was really cute, but it is kind of hard to get the roof on and off to fill it, and three of my plastic windows that keep the seed from spilling out had come undone, and we¡¯re all stuck together in a big clump. I ran water over them so I could pull them apart and stuck them in, so we will see if they stay stuck or not. I think it¡¯s really cute, but it is kind of fussy.Added a picture to show it at night – so cute!!! This makes it worth the fussiness. One of the plastic windows I had to restick came unstuck so I will need to glue it in before I put birdseed in it.

This is a very well made bird feeder and it’ll work great for me…but I had a dickens of a time figuring out how to fill the darn thing. There’s no insructions…you remove the top metal hanging rod and lift off the roof to fill. It’s going to be a bit of a hassle to fill it each time, but I think this’ll work well for me.Update; The top hanger is not very sturdy and any wind knocks it out of the holes. I’m not impressed, after all.

I love this bird feeder. Check out the pics, the birds love it too. It holds plenty of bird seed as you can see from the pic of the inside and is very easy to fill.It’s made very sturdy so it doesn’t tip or dump when the birds come flying in and land on it. There’s plenty of room for several birds to sit and eat.It lights up so pretty at night and is a great deal for the money, so much nicer than the feeder I had.

This bird feeder is so cool I love how it lights up and I can’t wait till it warms up so I can set it up and see how all the birds like it. It is metal and very well made I am so happy that it is not a plastic one. It will be so hard for the squirrels to get in to it with having to remove the top to put the bird seed in there so the squirrel won’t be able to get into the feeder.

I’ve had this bird house feeder for at least 6 months so far and it has held up in heavy winds, rains and now going thru the winter. The LED light is holding up very well, so far so good. After one day I stopped putting bird seeds in it because the squirrels kept climbing the tree, walking the hanger bar, weighing on the bird house eating the bird seeds. I have it as a display without feeder and added tiny artificial flowers along each side to look like a tiny house. I would highly recommend, just know the squirrels will be your biggest headache no matter how high you place this birdhouse from ground level. Matter of fact, they stand risk of damaging the thin windows on the bird house. You have more squirrels trying to eat the bird feed than birds. Again, not to take away from the beauty and durability of the feeder. I would buy again.

I got the feeder for my yard, and it’s really nice! It’s not too fragile and doesn’t get messed up in the rain. I like that it has spots for two kinds of seeds, so I see more birds coming by. To be honest when I ordered it, I thought it be a light weight piece of crap. I ordered it because my granddaughter thought it was cute and say no to her is near impossible.It arrived, packaged like anything else a box inside of a box with a little bit of brown paper around it. It’s actually pretty heavy duty metal do my complaint I have is that there were no instructions how to get the top off which, after looking at it is pretty simple.. you just take the wires off the top that you hang up from the top slides right off so you can fill it. Should’ve only take me a few seconds to figure that out but it took a good minute and a half.. so far I like it, but I might make a little bit of an adjustment as far as the hanging. Where is concerned. I was really concerned that the light would be tiny little LEDs strung all around inside of it, but it is a single LED that is connected directly to the solar panel, and it lights up quite well.

This bird feeder is adorable and great for decoration as well. I love how the solar light lit up at night. It is a great size for my birds, they love it. Once I figured it out how to open it was easy to fill it. I personally only fill it about half way, because this way it doesn’t block the windows. It’s really easy to clean and it’s quality is good too. After rain the seeds stayed pretty dry as well. I love to look at it at night it’s like a little home for my birdies.

After reading reviews I was a little undecided on whether or not I should order it. I ended up just going for it and definitely don’t regret my decision.There’s no sticker covering the solar panel. The edging you see is an adhesive to keep moisture out of the feeder.Also there’s a button under the roof that you need to press in order to activate it.In order to fill it you need to take off the hook and lift the roof up. After that press down on the roof and add the metal hanger back. You will have to work with it a little bit, but it’s really not that difficult.It’s very sturdy and well made.Mine stays on from dusk to dawn. If it was available in more styles I’d probably have a yard full of them. That’s how happy I am with my purchase!

This little bird feeder is cute to look at. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but my solar lights are not working. My poor birds have to eat in the dark. I’m not real impressed with the way this house is filled. The wire goes through a couple of holes that poke out the top of the roof. It isn’t very secure (there’s only a tiny bit of wire poking out with nothing really keeping it secure). I don’t know of a better way to do it, but I’m not a bird-feeder designer. I may just put less food in, so I don’t have to worry about it being too heavy and falling apart.

This is really, really cute and made from sturdy metal. I was surprised at how well it was made for the price. The birds are usually very active and hungry in the morning after the sun rises and also again around 4-5 PM. It seems to bring more birds than my last birdfeeder so I think I can say they like this one better! ?? The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s a bit awkward and cumbersome taking the roof off and putting it back on when it needs to be filled with seed. But overall I’m very satisfied with it.
