What I liked about the feeder is the panels are solid, keeping the seed drier, and the hanging wire is metal with a larger loop making it easier to hang. It does hold a good amount of seed, but I didn¡¯t fill it because I wanted more of the light to shine through the panels at night. The solar version came pre-charged and ready to go. Just turn on the switch in the cap.I did notice the larger birds having a harder time staying at the feeder, grackles and a crow, not sure about the blue jays and the cardinals yet, but the smaller birds seem to enjoy it.

This bird feeder is really cute and holds a lot of bird feed. It was relatively easy to put together. I had it hanging up with food within about 10 minutes of it being delivered. The light is controlled with a switch on the inside of the roof of the bird house and recharges with the solar panel on top. I have seen multiple birds feeding from it at one time and they seem to prefer it over the older one right beside it. We also had a strong storm come through and it was still intact the next day. The top removes easily for refilling and the clear sides make it easy to see when the bird food is getting low.

Our old bird feeder was aging and I have been on the hunt for a new one for some time. I came across this one and was immediately struck by how clean and modern it looked with the white and black and then blown away by the fact that it also had a solar light in it that I had not seen before. The house is made of good quality plastic and requires you assemble which takes about 2 minutes as everything just snaps together. It has a pre installed steel cable for great support and I just zip tie the loop to a tree in my yard. Very nice feeder and I would highly recommend it.

This was easy to assemble, though I struggled a little bit with snapping the top onto the supports. When put together, it’s pretty sturdy and no worries about the top coming off. When i first filled it and put it out, I thought the light wasn’t working. Turns out by filling it to the top, it blocks the light. So I had to dump some out into another feeder to see the light (see picture). The light is gentle, warm white, and seems to last through the night. Fun combo of two things I love- bird feeders and solar lights! The birds are using it!

This bird feed comes nicely packaged. Each of the panels were individually wrapped in plastic to prevent scratches. It is a snap (literally) to put together. It holds a good amount of food, I have sunflowers seeds in it currently. It does light up at night. It is not very bright, but has no purpose other than to look cute. My main concern would be that the plastic parts that are supports for the birds to stand on are pretty thin and might break if the feeder drops to the ground. Squirrels and larger birds have been knocking feeders to the ground. But in general, it should hold up well otherwise.

The box consists of a base, metal rope, top cap, lid, lock ring, six support poles, six transparent plastic panels and an installation manual.What I liked¡? Soft warm light gives off a nice glow inside the feeder? Transparent panels allow users to monitor the remaining food inside the feeder? Lifetime warranty? Easy to install despite the many pieces? All plastic design so it will not rustWhat I did not like…? Metal hanging rope is too long, wish it was adjustable? The solar light inside the feeder remains illuminated for no longer than four hours? Item description is confusing on page, is it 2.5lbs or 5lbs of seed?Conclusion…This solar bird feeder is both attractive and spacious, capable of holding approximately 2.5 pounds of bird food. Initially, I mistakenly filled the feeder to its maximum capacity, which prevented the solar light from functioning at night as there must be space for the light to be visible. The lid, or roof, is easy to remove with a simple twist for refilling, and the feeder is also very easy to clean. However, when fully filled, the feeder becomes quite heavy, requiring a sturdy hook for support. The perches are small, making it challenging for larger birds to land and feed, though smaller birds like finches, tit mouse, robins, and young cardinals have no difficulty. I rate this bird feeder 4 stars and will update my review if any changes occur in the future.
